9 Steps to plan your wedding
9 Steps to plan your wedding
If you are planning to get married then this post is to help you plan for your wedding day.
Lebanese weddings are more royal than royal weddings, which causes fun and stress at the same time. In order to narrow the ideas’ rush, here is a simple guideline for the things you need to plan a wedding, just to bring you back on track after a small detour to dreamland on every checkpoint.
First things first, check out the zaffe entertainment for you wedding 🙂 hehe no we come later, but first remember to set a theme for your wedding in order to know where to search and so that every decision will be based on whether it suits your style or not. Because if you search a lot you will get confused when taking your final decision and if you don’t search enough you will miss out on new ideas. That way, every detail will fit and it will not just be a simple mix of everything.
A good wedding planner will ease your search and help you with ideas for the wedding due to his experience. If you do not wish to ask the help of the best wedding organizer, this post is to help plan your wedding and making you a self wedding planner.
Here are the steps you need to prepare for the wedding:
1- Reserve your Venue, they are the fastest places to be booked. Once you settled on a venue you can spread the wedding date. According to your theme you can decide whether you want an indoor wedding venue or outdoor wedding ceremony, a classic garden or a traditional Lebanese restaurant, a place in the mountains or on the beach. If you want to benefit as much as you can from friends and family and stay up as much as you can then just reserve in a Hotel, that way the room will not be far away to rest.
2- Reserve the Catering. Usually now all venues comes with their own Food, Hostesses, Sound, Light, DJ,Volcano and Dry ice. If not these are the things to add to your list. But most importantly, be very strict when it comes to food. We all know we all love to eat, and most wedding feedback are comments over food.
3- Reserve the Photographer. What will stick of this memorable day are good memories and “The Pics and Video”. Be very careful to watch the photographer’s wedding shots in order to trust him/her to deliver you the wedding video of your life time. After all you can’t repeat it twice. Either you will get an ordinary montage or an out of this world day.
4- Reserve the Entertainment/Zaffe. According to your theme, set the Zaffe type, whether it is arabic, or parade and shows or a mix. But keep in mind simplicity is the beauty- la simplicite fait la beaute- so the timings of each show and the relevance one to an other is key for the wedding to turn out classy and not noisy. Of course we can recommend our selves as a full entertainment package and for full details do visit our wedding service page, http://www.magmagroup-lb.com/services/wedding/. But whether it is us or other please do insist to see an appealing show and programs and not just “a have to” zaffe entrance for the bride and groom, because even guests are getting used to the zaffe routine and are not seeing a WOW factor anymore.
5- Reserve the Floweriest. The wedding decoration is important to set the mood of the wedding. The wedding organizers count on the wedding accessories to make each wedding different from the other. The difference between a floweriest and another is first, the quality of the flowers, and how long will they stay fresh, the creativity of the floweriest in order to come up with a set that suits your theme and to elevate and walk you to heaven.
6- Reserve the Chocolate and extras. Taste the chocolate cause people like me do eat them and keep the designs. And just make sure the colors corresponds to the wedding colors already decided with the floweriest and also keep the design simple and reveals the theme.
7- Reserve the Wedding Cards. Don’t turn to a bridezella over the quality of the paper, the shades, the colors, the design and other. Of course they are very important factors but still, you can get overwhelmed with small details that will raise the budget and have the same effect. Trust the designs you see, its the perfect tip, if you see a card that speaks to you it means you have found your one. Don’t invent (it’s too time consuming to be executed), just search existing ones, there are plenty great looking cards that will dazzle you.
8- Reserve the Wedding cake. Either a real or a fake cake, search for the design that you like. A tip: let the cake resemble the flower theme that you chose, or get inspired from the the venue’s design.
9- Reserve the Wedding Car. Could be a Lemo, or a convertible car, an old classic, a carousel, or even a bug. They are all nice looking cars so choose the one closest to your style.
When it comes to the bride make sure to:
1- Reserve the bride’s wedding Dress. Of course the long awaited white dress should be the perfect choice. But our practical tips are whatever the design is, make sure it is light weighted so that you don’t get tired from the middle of the day, and if there is a train in the back make sure it can be attached so that you wouldn’t get caught in fixing it all night and for the guests to trip on it when dancing. Other than that you will look astonishing no doubts about that.
2- Reserve the Hair and Make-up. Try not to shift a lot from your normal look. If you usually let you hair down then keep it down or if you usually lift it up then keep it up. That way you will still look comfortable and real. As for the Make-up well just make sure to be sweat resistant because believe me it will get really hot for you during this day. So make sure to look like a Barbie all day long:)
3- Buy the Shoes and Accessories. Also make sure the shoes they are very comfortable to be warn all day long, and the accessories to fit your wedding dress’ style.
4- Reserve The Dresses for the Flower Girl and Ring Boy, and the Bridesmaids. Kids are Cute whatever they wear. Just make sure their cloth resembles your wedding dress and your groom’s wedding suit. As for the bridesmaid make sure they will have a say in the dress cause after all they are the ones that have to wear them.
5- Be Pampered. Make sure to get a full day spa a day before the wedding to release the stress and let your skin shine like a baby for your wedding.
When it comes to the Groom make sure to:
1- Get the Wedding Suit and a Bow tie. Make sure to look like a prince, but not a medieval prince. Move away from the everyday suits but not over the top. Be classy but still in your style.
2- Get the Shoes. Follow the trend for the shoes, but if it doesn’t suit your style then go for the style you feel comfortable in.
3- Get Pampered too. You also deserve to release the stress and make that tired old skin feel new again. Yalla go ahead.
To sum up, make you own wedding list for everything. Because other than the things you have to reserve, don’t forget the guest lists, the bachelor party, couple’s counseling and other details that can cross you mind. Just remember to keep things simple, your way, and keep the love going as most of the important task on your to do list.
Best of Luck,
